Hi,
We had old 6809 Smartnet Type II trunking systems on hand, the problem is we want to read the configurations onboard the controller, what is the exact type of cable to be use to connect the console terminal to the laptop using CAS software.
Thanks,

It's a custom serial cable with some weird crossovers
I built a couple a few years ago. Will try to find the schematic in my brain book

Been 15 years since I plugged into one of those things but I seem to remember it was a DB25 null modem cable? Used Procom Plus DOS on VT100 emulation......?

Been a long time for me too, but I believe you're correct.MSS-Dave wrote:Been 15 years since I plugged into one of those things but I seem to remember it was a DB25 null modem cable? Used Procom Plus DOS on VT100 emulation......?

maybe an old thread but can be used as reference. Is is just the standard rj-45 to db-9 cable. I use one frequently on still alive 6809 controller and mtc3600. I no longer use the CAS software but the built-it hyperterminal of windows xp instead.
