UHF Laird Phanton elite shark fin antenna bad tune
I picked up a set back in 2012 and had them on the Shelf. I installed one on my new truck today and i could not get better than an swr of 2.0 tried the other one same thing. has any one else had issue with these

Have you tried different lengths of feedline going to them?

The UHF are non-tuneable so the only option you have is to keep the feed line as short a possible with a small loop for service on the radio. We have a few departments that use them on their low profile and detective cars. Never had an issue.

Is there any chance that they are the wrong band for the your frequency?
If you have more than one transmit frequency is there any difference in the reflected power?

they are the 430-450 ones and i tried Several i think i am gonna go with the maxrad ones instead
