XPR 6550 Programming Issues...

Post by fchrist16 »

Anyone here ever use an XPR6550? I have a CPS question (legally have the CPS).
I am getting an error #1057 Region not supported. The radio shows CP Ver. of 11.00.10 but the highest CPS out there is 10.5 currently...What gives?!?

Sounds like you have a foreign model TRBO radio.

Which is weird because the guy that sold it programmed it before supposedly and he is located in Colorado. The radio's back label (assuming it is correct) shows it as a US Model.

Then I would contact the guy in Colorado, & ask "what's going on". 10.5 is the newest, but if it needs something else, he needs to send it to you. GARY

Contacted but I doubt I'm going to get a response...Thanks Gary.

I guess for now this makes a nice paperweight.

CP version in the radio is NOT CPS version. It is codeplug version.

+1 on the foreign radio unless maybe you have other region CPS and a U.S. radio? You have any other U.S. TRBO radios that your current CPS will read?

No I do not. This is the first (and probably only) TRBO radio I will ever own.

Don't be upset at the Trbo format. Be upset at the seller on brokenstolenradios.com. Remember what MTS2000DES says. Buy the seller, not the radio. GARY

I'm not upset at the TRBO radio Gary. I am not one for the newer stuff and I thought I'd buy one to try it out...Lesson learned I guess.
