Motorola MWR839 Weather Alert Radio

Post by Jim1348 »

I didn't realize until recently that there is a Motorola MWR839 Weather Alert Radio. I am just wondering if anybody here has one and, if so, how well it works.

What radios do you own?: Mostly Motorola

I have one sitting on my desk. I really like it. Weather wise, it works just as well as any of them I have tried over the years. Where I really like it is the audio quality listening to regular FM radio. It has a very nice sounding speaker and sounds great. Also decodes all of the radio station text info and such.

It would appear the radio is manufactured by Sangean and rebranded http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-MWR839-D ... B00C5B276W
