vhf xtl wont do 150.806
Anyway to make my xtl5000 vhf transmit on 150.806mhz Thanks
Re: vhf xtl wont do 150.806
In the US, that appears to not be a valid frequency.

To expand upon com501's answer, standard narrowband frequencies in the US around that frequency would be 150.800 or 150.8125. You can't tune in steps smaller than 12.5khz on a standard XTL as far as I'm aware.

Isn't 6.25 khz a valid step now on VHF hi? Freq would be 150.806250 if so, just don't know if that is valid in that part of the band. I'd also think the firmware needs to be fairly recent on the XTL platform to have that option.

I had to check because I wasn't sure, but my XTL2500 on the latest firmware actually will tune in 6.25khz steps. 150.80625 is a valid frequency. I know my 7/800 XTL will not tune to the 6.25khz 7TAC frequencies so I'd assume the firmware isn't new enough on that radio.
Regardless, 150.806 is definitely not a valid tunable frequency.

I think that portion of the VHF-Hi band uses 7.5Khz channel boundaries.W3AXL wrote:I had to check because I wasn't sure, but my XTL2500 on the latest firmware actually will tune in 6.25khz steps. 150.80625 is a valid frequency. 150.8075 i think is the first channel in that portion of the band.
