I have a remote mount 110W VHF XTL2500.
Can I use the remote head from the VHF 110W radio on a 50W UHF brick without doing any firmware updates or option updates to the head (or brick)?
Or does the remote head contain firmware that needs to match the brick firmware?
Thanks
XTL2500 - does remote head firmware need to match body firmware?

You should be fine. Worst case scenario you'll need to do a CH sync. I've flipped flopped the O5 heads between an APX, and high/mid XTLs.
Schrodinger's Radio: It is simultaneously too loud and too quiet, but you will never know which until someone transmits.

Thanks.
How do you do a CH sync?

It's an option within CPS. I've never needed to do it.
