TIMS vs Storage Scope For Wireline Level Set

Post by bostonrad »

Hi Folks,

The question seems silly, but I figured I'd ask. I have always set wireline TRC levels using a storage scope because I don't have a TIMS. Is there a compelling reason to buy a TIMS?

TIMS is nice for sweeping phone lines to determine frequency response for performing voter equalization and doing end-to-end work.
