The convertacom has no set freq. that it will work on. It can work on anything that the saber can do. If you are interested in a Astro Saber MVA, PM me.

What radios do you own?: Progreso soup can with CRT

Saber "station"...

The unit shown in the auction and photo is a "kluge" compared to others which have recently been shown on eBay. This one is nothing but ocmponents scrunched into a suitcase. The "nice" ones have the SVA mounted vertically in a deep case with a nicely finished and cut out faceplate with the front half inch or so of the SVA poking through the plate.

And yes, the only thing that makes this unit frequency or band dependent in any way is the amplifier; an SVA does nothing to a Saber's receive or transmit frequencies.

Do you need a special amplifier to work with Astro?
"I'll eat you like a plate of bacon and eggs in the morning. "
- Some loser on rr.com

eBay at it's finest:
Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

I personally skip auction where there are more lines of disclaimers and term than there are descriptions of the item being sold.

Any amplifier on the proper frequency band will work on Astro. The only difference, as far as the amplifier is concerned, is the modulation (deviation) and it doesn't care.
