What radios do you own?: Dual X9000,XTS5000,XTL5000

wanted to buy the hardware to hook 2 syntor x9000(low band and uhf) together and use the same control head. do i need different RSS also? thanks for your help.

You are partally there. In addition you need the T cable to connect the two radios. In addition you need to change the firmware in both radios to the dual radio version. You can take out the existing EPROM's and reprogram them with the correct version. Finally you will need to either upgrade your control head, or get your hands on a version that ends in SP04. You will need am SP version of RSS to program the radios. I have setup three X9000's so I can use either my LB HB or UHF in any combination, two at a time, of course.

Curious as to why you say you need to use an SP04 head. I have used heads that are standard SMD style heads and they work just fine. Is there something I am missing?
