I am looking to possibly purchase a VHF Spectra (an A-7 or A-4) but before I do I need to know how many channels they will scan at a time.I need to scan more than 16 so if someone could let me know.--Thanks!

Spectra Scan

I believe 16 modes is the maximum in each scan list and even that is kind of slow - but you can have several mode slaved scan list.

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

If your spectra supports zones, you can have a scanlist slaved to each zone, but you can only scan a max of 16 channels at a time. Kinda sucks, but that how all the radio's have been produced since the spectra line came out. The only M radio's that I am aware of that scan more than 16 are the X9000's.
