Minitor II Frequency Change
What is involved in changing the frequency of a UHF Minitor II to another frequency within the UHF band? Is this something I could do on my own?

min 2 freq change
hi,
all you have to do is buy a new rf board on the freq you want of ebay or a shop! take the pager apart and there is a small board at the bottom of the pager! it takes up about half the side! unplug it and slide the new one in! simple as that!!! i had this same prob a while back and i asked on here and it took me about 5 mins to do! good luck

Minitor II is crystal, order the crystal from Bomar and the like. open pager, put battery in, wrap with rubber band to keep the batt in. Wait for transmission on the channel you want to change, put your finger over 2 leads on either of the crystals, when the transmission drops that's the crystal to change. All this is assuming you can do this kind of small work with some very small tools, and a 40 w pencil iron not a weller.

Servicing a Pager.
To service a pager to get the correct
Receive sens.it should be placed on a
test jig and tuned .
You can test the rx before you change the
freq. and you know what the sens. is.
Do the change out then read the rx
sens. again and youknow how much to retune.
RETUNING is the only proper way to go.
