Post by Bill Rogers »

I ordered 2 UHF CDM1550s today and was told that Motorola only uses CDM1550LS models now. Anyone have the same experience?

CDM1550 UHF has been discontinued

It has been replaced with the LS version with trunking included. The LS version has at least the same features of the CDM1550 plus more. They have also upgraded the MDC signalling capabilities of this unit. The Dealer pricing has remained the same.

Thanks Charlie. Can you tell me any other new features? Looks like 160 channels also. I'm not sure of the price but it's around $750 with DTMF mike and remote mount kit. Bill

The 1550LSplus comes with voice storage standard. You do not have to add an option board. It is built into the radio and simply needs to be programed into one of the programmable buttons.
