Nice.

How about giving us the breakdown as to what kinda console it is, how much you spent, etc.

Looks like a nice install in an Expidition. (my guess from the front console, though, picking up the monitor and turning it 90 degrees isn't much in the cards :))

So where are the rest of the microphones? I too would love to see the exterior of this Mobile Brain Cancer Machine.

What could you possibly need all those radios for, there is no way you could listen to them all at once.
Please give us a breakdown as to each one and its use and band please. And you must post a pic of the antenna farm attached to it.

Maybe they all have the Dual Head option and he put them all in the console? :)

What radios do you own?: APX / Astro 25 / Harris

Post by apco25 »

well here are my thoughts on the radios.

OK the top radio is obviously for EDACS as its a MA/COM MDX

I'm guessing there is at least VHF, UHF and 800 spectra in there and possibly a 900 version. Further still I would venture that one of the A9 heads is on a lowband x90000.

Might also be all 3 UHF spectra splits in there 403-430 440-482 or 453-490 or 490-512

So it is possible to use them.

Of course some might be apco25 astro for certain systems.

And I thought I was bad with VHF, UHF A9 spectra, C7 800 spectra, MDX for EDACS and lowband Orion.

In this situation I think the "busy" light is pretty damn helpful!

What he needs is one microphone with an automatic transmit selector. Which ever radio recieved last is the active TX radio, kinda like the talk-back in a scan list.... I think. Yea.
