Hi all,
I know this is not Motorola related but how do you get into a Kenwood TK-280 / TK-290 that has been passworded in the programming software, The schmuck that sold the raios to the school district passworded the programming and it is not correct, he said it would cost $95.00 per radios to fix the problem, it had to short a scan stop time and they want it changed, this looks to me to be a scam.
I have the software and I think the only way is to go back into the radio and send it a new codeplug. But MAYBE someone here know a trick around that.
The radio has 3 systems in it plus conventional channels and it would be a real pain to redo it.
Thanks in advance.

Thats the only way that I know of, Unlike Motorola, you can make a new codeplug from scratch without reading the radio first. Just make a new one and overwrite it.
