Kenwood TK-840 Help Me!

Kenwood TK-840 UHF. Does anyone have some information on the radio? I can't find anything. Programing software? Cables? It has a Instruction Manual with very little info. It's a nice radio or so I been told. I just want to get it up and running.

Rob,

The Kenwood TK-840 is a UHF trunking radio 450-490 Check the kenwood site, it should have the info that you need.

The radio will do both conventional and trunking. Software can actually be purchased by anyone willing to pay the price. Cables are pretty straight forward ttl/rs232 converters. Check ebay for cables, Check around the internet for software. kazza and some russian sites pirate it.

Check on yahoo groups for the Kenwood and Radio Programming groups. The are very helpfull.

The diagram for the interface is available there too.

We should keep to the main focus here, /\/\.....
