I thought there had been posts about this but couldn't find them. How different is the PURC 5000 to the MSF 5000? What RSS programs the PURC? Can it be made to cover the Ham band without a lot of difficulty?
I am beginning to see a lot of these available. Looks like they might be a viable solution for a repeater transmitter. None of the ones I have seen have a receiver. Thanks

programming
I have both a PURC5000 and a MSF5000. I am waiting to get them programmed. Both of my stations require the suitcase to program. They will work on the ham band I have been told. I think all the PURCs take a PROM. Some MSFs do and some don't.
The PURC's don't have a receiver like the MSF, it's not built in. They are supposed to use a DARCOM 9000. Some of these will do ham.
I plan to use a GE voter and MASTR II receivers for my PURC transmitter.
I'm sure others might have more info. I am looking foreward to the MSF working. 150 watts and a 4200 foot mountian...
