KC8RYW, Tech Class since about two years ago.
Half the year I'm in Mount Pleasant, MI [where there is no mountain, and it's not exactly pleasant...] and the other half I'm in Novi, MI [on the outskirts of Detroit.]
Got intrested in electronics when I was young.. then it was scanners... then the ham bug hit hard.
33cm will be my new bundle-o-joy this summer.

Yep, Im a ham too, I have listed my call in prior posts. Im a Tech-class, and not very active. I too am mostly on GMRS.

GTX900 Portable and GTX900 Mobile for my use. So far, I have the mobile.
MaxTrac900 as a beacon Tx on 927 MHz. I have the MaxTrac900 right now.
Eventually, the Tx will become mated with a MaxTrac800 that is tricked to Rx on 902 MHz, a home-brew controller, and a duplexer... thus becoming a repeater. Somewhere in there I'll need a full-duty PA with 40 watts or more.
Beware, my ham plans have a way of changing themselves over time.
The only thing holding me back is really money... but a summer job should help that part out.

Ham for 27 years--Extra(20 WPM). Lovin' it more each day--met so many GOOD people--Never regretted it.
