Serial to USB converter cable for Astro Portable CPS
Quick question guys, I have an oem Motorola USB programming cable for xts5000's that I normally program with but I can't seem to find it since I moved. I also have a regular serial cable as well but my computer does not have a serial port so I was wondering if I picked up a serial to USB converter cable would I run into any problems?

Re: Serial to USB converter cable for Astro Portable CPS
Motorola references the IOGEAR brand usb-serial converter in the readme file, Ive never used one for astro portables....i do however use the converter on minitor V pagers with no issues.

We've had good luck with the converters from Cables To Go.

Thanks for the responses. I picked one up from Best Buy. It is from Dynex. It comes with the USB drivers and it worked just fine with my radios.
