I have an XTL5000 and I have a channel I do not want to be scanned. This channel is designed for special operations only and they should only be on the channel when instructed to do so.

Can the radio do this?

So you do not want them engaging scan while on that talkgroup? Or you don't want them adding that particular talkgroup to a scan list?

In case A, add a separate personality and assign no scan list to it.
In case B, disable op select scan.

Otherwise, if you have the infrastructure to support it, you could always have dispatch dynamic regroup the units when required.
