MTS2000 VHF RSS inquiry

Post by radiocat37 »

I have an MTS2000 VHF and I have attempted to read it with MTSX 6.07. The result is that the computer says "the codeplug is too new for this application". What MTS2000 RSS or CPS is newer than 6.07 or what else can it be programmed with?

Mike
Brian Griffin: Ah, if my memory serves me, this is the physics department.
Chris Griffin: That would explain all the gravity.
.

Lois: Peter, you're drunk again.
Peter: No, I'm just exhausted because I've been up all night drinking.

You will need MTS CPS. IIRC R2.03 is the newest customer level version.

There are some early MTS2000's that cannot use CPS and must use MTSX 6.08 if 6.07 wont get it for ya....6.08 was last of the MTSX updates

I forgot I had the MTS CPS 2.02 and it worked just fine. I have never owned an MTS2000 VHF. The programming is pretty slick with the windows version, like an HT-1250 (MUCH better than the DOS version). I read and saved the codeplug; now to get some of my freq's, tones and scan info in it. Thanks for pointing me in right direction.

MPL setting

Post by radiocat37 »

Can someone tell me where the MPL menu is in CPS 2.02? Maybe also some tips on setting up the MPL on this?

Also...How would I know if this radio has a secure module in it without taking it apart? H01KDD9PW1BN firmware 5.44 Flash: 000009-000000-9

If you enable the secure module in your codeplug it should give you and error on power up, and perhaps a "clear" tone when you key up.

On the MPL you need higher firmware, IIRC it was 6.xx and up.
