I have recently installed the CPS version R06.01.00. When I try to read a radio, I keep getting an error code " error 4-1379 ". I even tried loading a codeplug that I used with ver R04.00.00. This produced the same results. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is??? :-?

What radio trying to read? Is the RSS AA, AZ, or LA? That error code means you are using a foreign radio. For instance, if your software is AA, and you're trying to read a Pro9150, or Pro7150, Pro7100 etc. etc....it will not work, that is the error message you will get. On the flipside, iIf you are trying to program an HT1550, HT1250/750, CDM1550 etc. etc with LA software, you will get the same error. Bottom line, you have the wrong CPS.

Not only could it be that you are reading a 'foreign' radio, but also be using a foreign CPS....If you are reading a HT series Pro radio or a CDM etc. radio, you should be using the North American version AA, if you are reading a PRO5150, 7150, 9150, etc or the GM340, 360, 380, etc. (i think those are some of the european, etc. mobiles), then you should be using the appropriate CPS version, AZ (European I think), LA (Latin America), etc. You would get the error if you are reading with the wrong CPS for each type of radio.....

I am trying to read an HT750, HT125, HT1550, EX500, and EX600. When I loaded the software, I noticed it was AZ. I guess this software will not work and I got shafted. :(

The 'AZ' version will not work with any of those radio's. Those are all American radio's and I believe the 'AZ' is the Asian countries.

The following is the CPS status questioned by hvacesu78:

LA - Latin America
AA - USA
AZ - Asian
MD - European

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

flamewild....what was the CPS R04 version you were using? If you have the AA version it should read these radio's, except if they were already programmed with a later version, then they will need the later version?

They must have been programed with a later version because it has some kind of error message that leads me to that conclusion. This is why I appropiated the R06, but did not know I was getting the shaft on an Asian version. The R04 works fine with the 750 and 1250 I have, but will not work with the EX500 and HT1550 I have.
