APX 7000 and 800MHz Rebanding and Channel Spacing
When an 800MHz radio system goes through the rebanding process, should the channel spacing be changed in the CPS to 12.5kHz on every occasion? I would just like to know if there is a way to tell so that I can program my radios properly.

Re: APX 7000 and 800MHz Rebanding and Channel Spacing
The 800 band is NOT required to be "narrowbanded" which is what the term 12.5khz refers to.
Rebanding and narrowbanding are different.
Read other radios and look...........If dispatch is always telling you to "speak up" then your at 12.5 and everybody else is at 25kHz. I've also heard dispathers call a 12.5kHz radio "staticy" - they are hearing the RF baseband noise in the background and calling it static.
Most every 800 rebanding projest I have done we kept them at 25kHz.
Here is a good link for explaing what "rebanding" is .......
