Hello All.. Need a lil help... On my Reg APX-7000 the top button I have the top button above the PTT switch toggles the light. One Press light is on (Screen Display), one press screen is off...

On my APX-7000xe, after the screen is lit up, and I press button to turn screen off.. it only dims.... I want to make the light completely off? Cant find proper settings... Anyone able to help?

It's a function of the profiles under radio ergonomics.

Uncheck the box labeled "permanent display backlight"
