Have a 7 channel MIP5000 2 digital consolettes and the other 5 channels are tone

it is setup with primary channel on select speaker on digital 1 monitor speaker 1 is diagital 2,
mon spkr 2 is analog 1
mon spkr 3 is analog 2
mon spkr 4 is analog 3
and other 2 channels go to unselect speaker

the issue we are having is when we get 2 or more conversations at a time its almost impossible to understand, the audio from 1 channel at a time is pretty good but when more than 1 goes it doesnt work very well,

We had a old centracom button/led that worked great but took up the enitre room and finally bit the dust.

Any ideas on things to Check

The issue is that, even though you have separated the channels onto different speakers, the audio will still mix in the room when played simultaneously on separate speakers. There is no way to separate simultaneous radio traffic in the same room. This leaves select audio and unselect audio to be set up the same way you would have on the centracom. It had no way to deal with monitoring simultaneuos conversation either.

It's been my experience that audio on the MIP leaves a lot to be desired. Our 3 remote PSAPs are using digital gateways, I can't imagine tone as it degrades the audio even more. We just switched from tone to e&m on our MCC5000 to improve audio (the MIP doesn't sound near as good as the MCC). But on top of that, having mutiple sources of sound at one time is almost impossible to process. In our 5 position center, if more than 2 channels are going at once you can forget it. If you haven't already done so, I would highly recommend acoustically treating the room and make it as dead as possible. This will help tremendously.
