MC900 Codeplug Checksum Error

Good morning,
So I have an MC900 sitting on my bench, and I'm having an issue with it. When I read it with one version of RSS, It gives me an error that it is "newer then the software" or if I use my newer software I get a "Codeplug checksum" error. Im not sure what is causing this, other then maybe the software Im using is not recognising the MC900 or the GM900 codeplug is not compatible.
