XPR8300/8400 DC mode

I'm looking to set up a temporary repeater off grid running on a battery. I'm looking at deep cycle marine batteries, but I see that they're 12 V and the spec sheet says that the repeater requires 13.5 V. The repeater only needs to run at the lowest power possible (I believe 20 watts is the lowest it'll go). I'll be running two channel slots with digital.

Will this work? What is your recommendation?

This will be to cover a Boy Scout camp for a week-long training course. I figure that I may have to swap out the battery every day with a second one that will be charged at the camp office.

They're designed to use a 12V battery.

What kind of runtime am I looking at while on battery? Probably about 25-35% use on digital.

Couldn't tell you, depends on the battery. Not something I'm all that familiar with, perhaps someone else here has some experience with them.
If you can, it wouldn't be a bad idea to set it up and try it ahead of time.

Get out your spec sheet and note the current draw on TX and standby, then get out your calculator and do some math
