ASTRO Saber Model II 3 or 4 quick chirps when unkeying mic

I get 3 or 4 chirps when I un-key the mic sometimes... Is this a low battery warning???
TIA for any answers...

Sure sounds like it. Almost like a cricket, right? A battery might be fine for standby/RX but will drop for TX below the low voltage threshold as that is the most draw on it.
