MOTOROLA XPR 2500 Mobile Radio UHF 403-470MHz - PASSWORD RESET?

Hi

I have a remarkable one time deal to buy 10 MOTOROLA XPR 2500 Mobile Radios for $200, however, I need to know how to reset each of them or re-flash them so it removes the password which was/is unknown to the seller. I know it can be done. Is it a matter of getting a hold of the same or > series firmware to clear it?

If someone here knows for sure a way to do this, I will purchase them ASAP. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Each is: UHF (403-470MHMhz) AAM02QNH9JA1AN - perfect for my ham radio and EMA needs.

It depends on the CPS version but yes, you can bypass the password with a hex edit in most versions of CPS.

I recently bought a locked radio. I simply programmed in a code plug from the same model radio, & voila, an unlocked radio. Couldn’t have been easier. GARY.
