- What radios do you own?: XTS3000/astro spectra/
i voted yes, but it might concern me that people would ask questions live, there instead of posting them here, wich gives much info to everyone any time, not just at the moment the question was asked in the chat room.
that means, that alot of future archives, will be reduced a little if not alot.
hmmmmmm.......

If the majority is serious about a chatroom - with none of that resource wasting java.
just have the origanator of this poll send the results of the poll to
szingman@informx.com
he owns a irc private server and it has little traffic on it (mostly the w0kie satellite radio network, amsat and wqna)
most of us use mirc as our client
he would probably not mind a moto room as most of us are hams and are into radio.
and yes - tell him n8uhn-Bill sent you.

I kinda agree with what wazzzzzzzzup said. Chat rooms are cool for "realtime" stuff going on (like if you are into monitoring your local public agency with a bunch of other folks and want to know what's going on).
One thing with chat rooms is it inevitably develops cliques of those who are "in" and those who aren't. I realize that is actually what attracts us to chat rooms because we can also discuss stuff privately, but won't that also kill some of the spirit of this board by not posting informative, helpful and even funny bits of information?
Been a long time reader of this board and rarely do I miss reading it for more than 2-3 days at a time. Would be sad if the traffic and messages in here started dying off because folks kept everything to themselves in a chat room.
Just my 2 cents.
