when i replace a lamp with an led, i just put a 1k to a 2.2 k resistor in series with the plus lead of the led.

then connect the plus to plus and minus to minus.

don't know which is which? use a voltmeter.

i have yet to try clear led's - i would use green or yellow - use whatever color you want to.

i think the clear led's have different voltage and current requirements - be sure to compare the specs between the clear
and color led's.

don't forget that any color led can be in a clear housing.

I used green leds with a 4.7 k resistor in series. A clear or color LED takes the same voltage and current. I was going to change it to blue or purple some day, just for the heck of it.
