Saw this item and was curious to know if it was an original Motorola test piece?

Looks like you could take an older Saber 1 case and a dremel tool and make one yourself.

Hi:

That's " Exactly " what I did, and it
works even a little better than the one
in the Photo.

I even can use the Display and it attaches
right on the front of the radio.

Manytimes, other persons just desire ones
already made and are willing to foot the bill
as it does take some time.

all you need is a old saber body and then cut the face out. you can get them cheap too, i saw a pair of sabers go for 60.00 the other day

That is not an original piece but it would work for a lot of service. If you want to get to the main board back side though, you need the real thing. I have one and it allow you to expose everything and power it from a battery or a power supply and allows you to connect to a 4005 test box. Pricey, but it does allow a lot maore access.
