You didn't by any chance try writing someone else's codeplug into the radio did you?

The 'RAM TST ERROR', means that there is a 'RAM test failure'. For this error, if you turn the radio off and turn back on again it should go away, if it doesn't, then the manual says to replace RAM (U0122).

When you get a 'SYNTH UNLOCK', usually means that the radio is out of the frequency bandsplit that is applicable to that radio.

Hopefully you saved your original codeplug, try writing the original codeplug back in the radio.

We have many UHF CDM 1550s and sometimes the screen flashes "synth unlock" briefly during normal operation. Never figured out what it means but it doesn't last. Bill
