People Finder? When was the last time one of those was brought up here?

Try 7531, the default password. That should get you in.

I hate those things. They used to have their own tech support number on the bottom...

that's it

Motorola turned their backs on those things a few years back. Now tech support is relegated to the few MSS techs left who will still touch them. I like Zetron's PageCenter as a current replacement.

We have one at the office for a demo that I'm just itching to trash.

In it's place we use Visiplex which from my perspective is a pretty tight setup. It does your POCSAG, GOLAY, 2-tone in alpha, numeric, tone only or voice flavors. Comes with internal 2 or 4 watt transmitter crystalled to your frequency and the possibility of using external transmitters of more power is needed. Very user friendly and their pagers have the ability to change the capcodes and group codes without software! Real nice when a hospital decides to shuffle their pager groups around....

It also works with non-visiplex pagers as long as they conform to POCSAG, GOLAY and 2-tone.
