Weird Repeater Acting @ Employer

Hey all!

I just started as a Dispatcher for the Sinclair Community College Police Department in Dayton.

The repeater we use is set up weird (from what I am used to).

In the dispatch center I use a MaxTrac that is set up on the Dayton PD 800 system, for mutual aid from them (haven't had to use it yet). For my repeater system, I use a desk mic/foot pedal hooked onto a Radius GM300. Now, when I unkey I hear the repeater tail also. And when two units in the field talk, and the other keys up while the tail is on I hear that "beep" that usually comes when the dispatch center is keyed up. I think you guys know what I'm talking about? You know, when dispatch keys up it usually has a short high beep, kinda like an attention grabber or something?

It's just weird to me. Anyone have any information for me?

Sounds like you have a satellite receiver system to me. 1275 hz(the high beep) is commonly used in voting comparator systems as well as in tone remote setups.

The "beep" is actually the remote control tones.
