Just starting out with Spectra 900,, help needed

I just purchased 4ea. D37KMA7JA5CK Spectra's from Ebay.My plan is to use them for two oneway links from remote sites.
I need to convert them over to the ham band and have been on the Batlab web site. Great stuff!! Have printed out the procedure on doing the changeover.
The only question I have is doing the software side of it. What is everybody using for RSS, are you purchasing the Motorola RSS?
Has someone else come up with new software package to use?
How can I get ahold of the software? and what else will I need?
I have a RIB and that side of it but no Rib to radio cable.
If I need it, how much is the Motorola software, as I have no problem putting my name on the line for the software agreement.
