two-tone decode on mobile

I would like to set up a VHF mobile in a firehouse with one channel programmed to be muted until the right two-tone pair is received, then to go carrier squelch for a specified period, and then auto-reset. The other channels would be programmed without two-tone, mostly carrier squelch.
It appears that the M1225 can do this. Possibly the CDM750 can, and most likely the CDM1250 can do it.
Can anyone confirm or deny this for me?
Thanks.

The M1225 can do it, but only with the appropriate option board installed.

The CDM750 will not do two tone decode.

The CDM1250 and CDM1550 will do it "out of the box"

Humhead, can you give me the p/n of the option board I need for the M1225? Is it just a tone decoder, or more than that?
Thanks

Hmmm....

It was HLN9511, and also required the HLN9345 installation kit, but I just double checked on MOL, and the board is showing as cancelled.

Note that if you have in mind scanning a list that includes a handful of "normal" channels plus one channel using two-tone (known as Quik-Call or QC) muting, you're likely to miss the QC calls. What happens is that, if a QC calls is sent, you scanning radio "arrives" in the middle of the tone sequence, as to which timing is critical, and decides that the timing is wrong and the sequence is invalid.

Usually, QC programming is done on an "extra" channel, programmed with dispatch information but muted by QC, and used by off-duty brass so that the radio will be silent unless something important is going on. In this use, the radio sits on the dresser table not in scan.
