Working on a project to convert a GTX900 to Amateur, seems the codeplug is too new for my software, does anyone have an older codeplug I can use to get up and running.

Thanks in advance...

And what is the model # of the radio that you are using, and the software version as Ken asked? I am sure one of us can help you.

You may want to check on that, I always thought 906.500 was the FM calling frequency.

As far as I know, the GTX is deaf at 904.5 (or 906.5 for that matter). It will TX there but it is incapable of hearing down there.

Please see this thread about the GTXs specs that were found by "r0f"

Don't quote me, but the 800 GTX is something like 850 to 866 on the RX side. Just tried to enter a freq above 866.0000 & it will not accept it. Yes, you could hack it to accept a higher freq, but it will not perform well at all.

You are not going to get the GTX to work on anything but the 25 mhz split. Tx on 902 and receive on 927. I have programed several and they work there just fine. They do not receive very well below 927.

Well iv got all the equipment to read and wright to GTX .. so i guess ill see just how far up a GTX800 will recive .... but with out a signal generator ... that probably will be hard to do ... :-?

n_0_ndp ... i was thinking of just using the gtx800 for recive only... for a repeater ... unless some one knows of a fairly cheap rig/radio that will recive in the lower portion of 902
