MTR2000 question

Today I worked on my first MTR2000, without manual as usual. I wanted to take the speaker audio and run it into my analyzer that has an automatic 12dB SINAD feature, it's very convenient. But the audio level from the 4-pin modular jack (SPKR) behind the front cover is too low at about 100mV. I need over 1V pp to make the analyzer happy. Does anyone know where to pick off a higher audio level on the MTR2k?
Thanks

That is all the MTR puts out. The service speaker has a amplifier in it and costs a whole lot of dollars too!! I just run the low level audio into my laptop and use the laptop speakers and audio controls. But you want to do SINAD, so just about any god quality voltage amp should work. A op-amp with a gain of 10 or so is what I am thinking just to drive the Service Monitor SINAD input. Also there is 13 volts on that connector.

OK, then I will need to build a preamp I guess. Unless I can talk GD into making the SINAD more sensitive......

Thanks

I believe the service speaker part# is HSN1000. It's the same amplified speaker used in MTVA/XTVA units & used to be used on Mostar/Traxar units. That's for the speaker only, there's also a 6-foot cable to go from the MTR2000 to the speaker...don't have the part# for that handy at the moment.

There is also Receiver Audio on pin 7 of the DB25 connector on the back plane. This is 1.3Vpp. This may be enough to drive the SINAD Meter.

Cable for the HSN1000 Speaker.

The External Speaker Cable to interface the HSN1000 amplified speaker to the MTR2000 is part #0185180U01 and cost about $15.

Good Luck,
