Regency mx3000 scanner programming

Post by KG4MXV »

Hi fellas.
I am working on a small project of mine and need some help.
I just put up a small towercam for weather observation.
and I have it on a rotor and have a VCR ready to start recording.
I got a DTMF decoder from ramsey and set up a controller to pan the camera and start the VCR among other things.
Well I was going to use my old Pro95 but I just found a new Nimh battery pack for it for $12.00 and use it at work.
So I bought an old regency MX3000 from the state excess sale and fixed it up , it needed a new squelch pot and a new ext speaker jack.

But I can't figure out how to program it.
does anyone have any insight on this.
thanks,
BTw here is the link to the cam
http://home.nc.rr.com/kg4mxv/
it updates every 10 min.
the TW www server won't let me update any quicker.

MX 3000
programming in a freq:
(1) press manual --------------------- --------------Manual
(2) enter freq followed by speed/ enter -------453.250 speed/ enter
(3) enter channel # --------------------------------01
If you need any more, ask. I have a manual.

Thanks for the info but I think that the scanner is dead.
funny thing though it does scan with the default freq of 447.412 but I can't program it.

and it does rx on that freq.

when I press manual then the new freq. it does not display the new freq.

only when it is scanning and I press either 1 2 3 0 does the display show that number.
