cdm1550ls queston 16 channel or 128

I have been noticing on ebay that people have been selling these radios an they are saything they only have 16 channels conventional an 128 ltr trunking. IF im not mistaking isnt it the other way around. OR did motorola update those radios.

I have seen these same EBAY radios. You can program them either way. The add is a little confusing to someone not familure with 1550's and gives the impression that only 16 Conv. chan. can be programmed which is not the case.

Correct me if I am wrong.
The CDM-1550 LS, was the old model, did 16 conventional or 128 LTR.
The new CDM-1550 LS+ with a model # ending 6AN, does 160 conventional.

That is basically true, there are two 'LS+' models...if it's a '5AN' model, it'll only do 16 or 18 conventional channels. If it's a '6AN' model, it'll do 160 conventional OR LTR modes.

That be the truth .......but moto will upgrade a 5an to 6an fairly cheap ....cost me 115.00 done deal.....
