Anything new out there that is decent and usable?
Everthing available that I've come across seems to be really crappy and difficult to use.
Suggestions?

UI-View is the best one... (to be honest they are all clunky)

OK I'll check out UI-view.
I'm having some weird problem with that tnc from Dayton - works on regular packet but it won't do a damn thing with the APRS software.
Really bizarre.

Try APRS Plus, you can download the eval version and play with it. It works really well with Street Atlas and can display fixed stations and mobiles on the map.

I hear UI-View is a very good program, although I've never tried it. I have been using WinAPRS with Precision Mapping maps inserted in place of the absolutely USELESS maps that come with WinAPRS. If you use Precision Mapping with WinAPRS then you have a decent set up. Otherwise I wouldn't even bother with that program.
I need to check out UI-View sometime just to see what it's all about. Also gonna check out APRS Plus.

I'll have to look it up on my other computer, but on Yahoo, type in seomthing like "Winaprs setup kpc3+" or something along those lines. There is a website along the lines of KC0TB or something that has an excellent APRS setup instructions for that TNC.
