I know this error is a checksum error. I did some searching and couldn't find a solid answer if this is something that I could fix or would have to send out to the Depot. I was programming, then got the error beep when the radio powered back up, and was unable to read the codeplug. I was able to write to it, but it would still give the error. help me..

I had the same problem a while back.

If memory serves, I just loaded a c/p from a good radio and cloned it over.

Give it a shot. If it doesn't work, let me know and I'll pull up my notes.

Yeah, I had that issue as well. You're going to have to find another radio, read the plug and then clone it in to the brick. Don't know why it doesn't take the original, but it won't.

Which version software are you using?

Sometimes a firmware upgrade will do the trick as well.

If you can find a radio, of the same model, that is a candidate for a firmware upgrade, you can start the upgrade compatability check with that radio and then switch to the hosed radio for the actual upgrade. (i.e. Switch radios once it tells you to put the radio into bootstrap mode.)

I dont believe I have the hardware for that kind of trick. I thought that the radio I used to clone was the same model number but it wasn't. I NEED HELP!! I NEED CODEPLUG!

I got a good codeplug from the same type of radio, programmed it into mine and I still get the error. This freaking error is killing me.

Hi, I heard replacing the EEPROM will solve this problem for GP328.
