M1225 CPS - ***NOT REQUESTING SOFTWARE***

Post by firecomm »

I am NOT requesting software here, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if CPS exists for the M1225/P1225 radios and if so, what the part number is. ****ONCE AGAIN I'M NOT ASKING FOR SOFTWARE****

Sure....P/N is HVN9054D, currently in revision 3.2, available from Motorola at 800-422-4210 after you complete the license agreement and are approved for a software license by them.

No idea about the X9000, but I'm pretty sure Spectra RSS is still avaliable, and fairly cheap too, because the radio is NLA.

Well, the local MSS still supports the X9000, too. I meant does Motorola itself still support it.

They do not support it in as they aren't making new parts, nor fixing it at the depot. Last time I called they still had copies of the RSS for it in stock.

You're probably going to have to pull the radio (Syntor) regardless unless you have an OLD laptop (preferably a 286 MHz.) as it wont program with much else other than that and I have'nt seen many 286 laptops recently. The desk tops are getting pretty scarce as well.
