Keyloader upgrades

Hi!

Does upgrading the keyloaders also need the proper encryption hybrid? This means, does an upgrade from des to des-xl also require replacement of the des board with a des-xl board?

Yes, a DES (T3020) to DES/DES-XL (T3011) conversion would need a DES-XL hybrid. The firmware change can upgrade a particular model, say a T3011CX to DX.
