Well guess this question hasnt been answered many times ;
anyways I have a new Steel Rescue Boat for radio & antenna install and looking for any help or suggestions !
specifiy - waterproof or resistant speakers. Seems they dont want to use the siren speaker and like to have an external radio speaker to the rear of the cabin. Im installing a Kenwood TK730 VHF radio and like to know if Kenwood makes a waterproof speaker or can I configure one to be resistant at least ????
thanks

When I need a waterproof speaker I use a Marine Radio speaker. They are creap and sound good. I know both Icom and Standard/Vertex make them as well as a few aftermarket companys. Look on BoatUSA and West Marines website. Some can even be ordered in black. :D

Because I'm a nice guy...

Here is one of the speakers that I have used a lot. No question that it is waterproof, I have seen some sit underwater and still work.

Thanks all
I believe they finally picked out one.

Well last evening I installed the antenna (VHF) and remote head mount & speaker wire.
Not as hard as I thought.
