hi all,

i'm working on a maxtrac with a strange problem.

it appears to be carrier squelch only.

rss does not enable the tone squelch sections.

the rss is ok but the radio seems to be csq only- didn't know big M
made a csq only maxtrac.

can i dump a codeplug image from a "pl" squelch radio into this csq only model and add pl that way or is it the board that is carrier only?

radio info: 2ch maxtrac,5 pin accy conn - model D33MJA1304BK

From the model number you posted= Yes it is a CSQ model only.

Looking at my manual i see the D33MJA1304BK (Csq model only) uses the same logic bd as a D33MJA7304BK which does do pl/dpl/csq.

So from that id think you could dump a code plug from a D33MJA7304BK into your csq D33MJA1304BK.

First be sure you read and save a code plug reading to a archive file so that if by chance it didnt work you could program the original csq only back into the radio thus restoring it back to as it was.

But i really believe you can dump the pl/dpl/csq code plug into the radio and make it work.

You might have to hack in the other model number to fool the program into letting you do the diferent code plug dump but then again if the program reads the radios M/N as a 7304 rather than a 1304 the program would more than likely give you the pl/dpl option as programable.

Play with it = Youll get it done.

It'd be easier to blank it with lab, then initialized it with the features you want.
