What radios do you own?: Various APX series

Post by fireradio »

Hi,

I called Motorola today at their Accesory # (1-800-422-4210) to inquire about buying some software for various radios. I pressed "2" in response to the menu. Anyhow, the guy asked me what I wanted. I said I wanted pricing info on some software. He said I have to setup an Account with them, and the only way to do that is to buy $1,000 worth of equipment. He refused to even give me prices unless I setup an account.

Anyway, all I wanted to buy was the RSS for the MCX1000 mobile, and possibly the RSS for the MT1000 portable. I know the MCX1000 is quite old, and the MT1000 is getting fairly old, too. The software can't cost THAT much! Is there any way to legally get the RSS without having to spend $1,000? Thanks.
