Batboard

I have a Uhf p1225 w/ keypad and display that exhibits the following problem:
Occasionally, when first powered up, it's display will backlight but no characters will display. Any HELP?

It is most likely the controller flex. Open the radio and leave the cable in the connector. power it up and wiggle the cable, it could be loose. Take it out and re-seat it. Use alcohol on a Q-tip to clean it before connecting again. Have fun
