XTS radios in a chemical plant

Post by transistor747 »

Does anyone have opinions to offer regarding the use of XTS radios in a Petro-Chemical environment. My customer has been using Jedi and Waris radios, but we are moving them to the MTC3600 controller and want to offer them digital radios.
The sticker shock is going to be bad, and also the weight of the radios.

Look at the XTS 1500 and 2500 models... may suite your needs, a little smaller.

What radios do you own?: All of them

I hope you're already using FM-Approved radios in that environment.

The XTS3000/5000's are available in an FM-Approved, Intrisnically Safe version (With the green dot on the bottom)
