Where's the MIC in this coil tube ear/mic?

Since the guy at Kawamall doesn't seem to answer emails, can anyone tell or does someone actually have the "Military Spec Coil Tube Ear Mic 4 GP300 HT1250 MTLEBD" from this guy?

The descriptions must be for people who already know exactly how the item works, but for my life I can't tell if the mic is in the PTT or if it clips to the collar? I'm looking for a good, heavy duty, clear coil tube acoustic ear mic where the mic clips on the collar. In this pic, you see a PTT, and then it looks like there's another PTT near the coil section as well.

ANyone actully seen one of these?

I have one for my Visar, it's nice I used it on a plain clothes detail I had, seems pretty heavy duty, good sound, and the mic and the PTT button are on a the same plastic black box. If this helps the cord from the radio to the mic/PTT button box is about 30 inches, and then there is a wire coming out of the bottom of the box that goes to the plug for the clear tubed ear peice, that in my opinion is very comfortable. I hope this helps, and doesn't confuse you.

On another note I was on my detail 12 hours, I only took the ear peice out 1 time, to do a number 2  so in other words the ear peice is pretty confortable. Unfortuatly the set up isn't like the secret services 2 wire set up, one leads to the PTT and mic, the other to the ear peice, so you can put the mic and ptt down you sleeve, this one isn't set up like that, you will need to clip the PTT and mic to your shirt or collar it's not long enough to split and go up your sleeve, into your hand.

Just a heads up, if you decide to buy from kawamall make sure you use paypal, and or save your receipt, if your using a MO save the stub, I am currently in a dispute with him, on an item I paid for, received, and been using for a month, kawamall said I never paid for it, thankfully, I saved my receipt.

Sorry so long :-?

I am not sure on that one.

The ones most of us use have Dual PTT, one in the mic and the other in the cable splitter. Also ours do not require the adaptor, as they come with the proper connector for your radio.

I also recomend the molded ear insert instead of the "pinkie". With the molded insert you hear normally and radio too, just like the earpiece was not there. $18.

Thanks guys, I was hoping to have a mic clip to the collar rather than up my sleeve. Will, you know of one or sell one that has the coil tube with a mic on the lapel and a PTT in the sleeve?

Yes Sir, that would be the 'three wire" type.

You can also go with the Motorola "Voiceducer", they work well...if you have the money.

Too bad freelinc doesn't support your model yet. These look nice. I have an AURA Liberty Link sample IC on the way for playing with. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than 300 dollars.
